Donate

The Homer Animal Shelter is no longer a non-profit organization and cannot accept cash donations, however, we can always use donations of food and other supplies to help us give our animals the best care possible. 

We have a wishlist on display at the Homer Animal Friends Store in town, and one available on Amazon!

Items Always Needed

  • Wet/canned cat and kitten food

  • Kitten Food

  • Unscented clumping cat litter

  • Cat beds

  • Paper Towels

  • Disinfecting Wipes

  • Bleach

Enrichment Toys

  • Dog toys (puzzle feeders, Kong-type chew toys, tennis balls)

  • Cat toys (wands, laser pointers, paper bags, toilet paper rolls)

  • Kitten-size litter boxes (small)

  • Martingale collars for dogs (all sizes)

  • XL dog crates

  • Feliway calming spray for cats

 Food Donations

We do accept open and unopened bags of dry food. Please keep food in its original bag or container.

 

We use as much as we can, due to timing, number of animals and expiration dates we may not be able to use it all. If this is the case, we donate what we cannot use to the Homer Food Pantry.

We accept all types of food. Our food of choice is Blue Buffalo and Kirkland’s Natures Domain.

​

At times we have animals that are not eating well and need enticing. Generic dry food and/or treats can be useful for this.
